Once we arrived at Malheur, we turned right around and headed back to New Orleans - only this time we flew!
Grady's christening was the last Saturday in March and we had to be there. It was a beautiful, warm day so we walked to the church. The service was brief and Grady was well-behaved (unless you count crying when the priest poured holy water in his eyes!) He wore a gown that is a tradition in the family - it was worn by his mother, uncles and cousins. For dinner afterwards at the Murphy's, he changed into the outfit that his dad Stephen wore for his christening.

The next day was the big crawfish boil in Grady's honor. Another beautiful day. Lots of good food (crawfish, red beans and rice, cake, and on and on). No one went hungry. Also, lots of babies attended as well. Stephen and Katie's friends have a good start on the next generation - at least the male half!

Lots of babies - not ready for crawfish yet
First we eat
On the way to and from NOLA, we had layovers in Las Vegas. Our first order of business each time was to eat - and then we played with the slots a little. The results speak for themselves - Sally won (50 cents) and Tom lost ($5). Oh well... Tom is not a total loser though, he did win the fantasy hockey league (he can win as long as there is no money involved.)
